Our Roots

Little Bear Gelato was founded in 2018 by French pastry chef Franck Bouilhol, trained at the Alain Ducasse Pastry School.
The name “Little Bear” comes from the nickname of Franck’s first son — a reminder that our story is rooted in family, care, and authenticity.

Little Bear Gelato is our way of bringing a taste of Italy to Canada.
We craft our gelato using simple, high‑quality ingredients: fresh Canadian milk and cream, premium nuts, and carefully selected flavors designed to delight your taste buds.

Our vegan sorbets are made with as much real fruit as possible, sourced locally whenever we can. Every batch is prepared with care in our own professional kitchen to ensure the quality you deserve.

Gelato offers a richer, smoother experience than traditional ice cream, and our sorbets — fully vegan — are just as vibrant and delicious. We keep three gelato or sorbet flavors in rotation throughout the year, inspired by the seasons.

Supporting local producers matters to us. Whenever possible, we choose local ingredients so that every scoop not only tastes incredible but also contributes to our community.
